(Web Desk) - Texas Hold 'Em, Beyonce's latest country song, shot to the top of the British charts on Friday, giving the American music icon her first no. 1 record in the UK in 14 years.

After making an unexpected appearance in a Super Bowl commercial earlier this month, where the 32-time Grammy Award winner joked about "breaking the internet" just minutes before revealing a new album, Beyonce has released two songs.

According to the Official Charts Company, Beyonce's Texas Hold 'Em is her first No. 1 song in the United Kingdom in 14 years and her sixth No. 1 single overall. Her previous British chart topper was Lady Gaga's Telephone in 2010. If I Were A Boy, her 2008 solo UK No. 1 single, was her last one.

Her UK chart success comes after Beyonce, 42, made history earlier this week when she became the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs charts in the United States with Texas Hold 'Em. Her other new single 16 Carriages came in at No. 9 on that chart.

Texas Hold 'Em debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which ranks the most popular songs across all genres.

Beyonce's upcoming album, act ii, will be released on March 29, the second in a three-album project that began with her 2022 critically acclaimed Renaissance.
